Maui Brewing Company Big Swell IPA

Hello beer lovers and welcome to another edition of the NorCal Beer Blog's brew review.

Tonight’s featured beer is Maui Brewing Company Big Swell IPA.

From the Maui Brewing Company website: “Big, Hoppy, Bold, Smooth, And Hoppy…Did We Mention Hoppy?

Our handcrafted India Pale Ale brewed with four different kinds of Northwestern hops and malted barley…dry-hopped to perfection. Its flavor begins smooth and malty and is followed with a big burst of hop flavor."
Let’s get started!
Appearance: Pours golden orange with a nice looking white head and sticky lacing.
Aroma: Pine, citrus and tropical hops with toasted and sweet malts scents.
Taste: Follows the nose with pine and citrus and slight tropical hop bitterness and balanced nicely with toasted and sweet malts.
Overall: Crisp and refreshing, Maui Brewing Company Big Swell IPA is easy drinking.  This 6.8% ABV IPA is solid and worth a try for fans of the style.

Cheers!

Mark Harvey
