Evil Twin Brewing Even More Jesus Imperial Stout

Hello beer lovers and welcome to another edition of the NorCal Beer Blog's brew review.

Tonight’s featured beer is Evil Twin Brewing Even More Jesus Imperial Stout.  I purchased this bottle at Royal Liquors (here) in San Jose. If you stop in there, please tell them that you heard about them from NorCal Beer Blog!

From the Evil Twin Brewing website: “A few times in the history of craft beer it has happened that a highly praised beer rises beyond mortal stardom into a higher godly league. Usually the recipe to make such heavenly drops is thick fudge-like body, pitch black color, amazingly overwhelming aromas of chocolate, coffee, dark fruits and muscovado sugar, obviously only made in limited amounts and most crucial of all - it must taste rare!”
Let’s get started!
Appearance: Pours black with a dense dark brown head and chucky, spotty lacing.
Aroma: Chocolate, coffee, caramel, dark fruits, vanilla, brown sugar and roasted malts.
Taste: Huge chocolate flavors, fudgy…balanced perfectly with the flavors of roasted coffee, dark fruits, roasted malts, molasses/brown sugar, toffee and a hint of vanilla.
Overall: Sweet and HUGE, Evil Twin Brewing Even More Jesus Imperial Stout is incredible.  If you’re a fan of Imperial Stouts this is a must try (it IS on the sweet side though). This 12% ABV offering is over the top delicious.  Evil Twin Brewing continues to lure me in, beer by beer.  I need even more Even More Jesus Imperial Stout for sure!

Cheers!

Mark Harvey
