Hello beer lovers and welcome to another edition of the
NorCal Beer Blog's brew review.
Tonight’s featured beer is Squatters Craft Beers Off Duty
IPA.
From the Squatters Craft Beers website: “Like your favorite
hammock, this IPA is perfectly relaxed and balanced. The smoothness of premium
barley lies in equilibrium with the hoppiness of a classic American IPA. Kick
back and reward yourself with this multiple award-winner.”
Let’s get started!
Appearance: Pours
a clear and dark golden color with a nice white head leaving thick lacing.
Aroma: Citrus,
tropical, pine, fruity and grassy hop scents with hints of grainy and caramel
malts.
Taste: Citrus and
pine hops, slight stone fruit notes balanced nicely with sweet caramel, toast
and grainy malts.
Overall: Refreshing
and highly drinkable, Squatters Craft Beers Off Duty IPA is good. This 6.5% ABV offering is something I would
certainly drink again.
Cheers!
Mark Harvey
