Green Flash Brewing Company Rayon Vert Belgian Style Pale Ale

Hello beer lovers and welcome to another edition of the NorCal Beer Blog's brew review.

Tonight’s featured beer is Green Flash Brewing Company Rayon Vert Belgian Style Pale Ale.

From the Green Flash Brewing Company website: “If Green Flash were founded in historical Belgium, Rayon Vert would have been our flagship brew. A bold layering of hops finds balance from traditional malts. Bottle conditioning with fresh ale yeast and Brettanomyces finishes the beer, adding a delightful effervescence, dryness and continuously evolving character. Rayon Vert is Green Flash.”
Let’s get started!
Appearance: Pours a beautiful golden honey orange with a large cream colored head and loads of sticky lacing.
Aroma: Belgian yeast, lemon peel, spices, grapefruit, pineapple…floral…perfect…
Taste: Hops up front, citrus, pepper, herbal spices, Belgian yeast and a nice sweet caramel backbone that balances this just right.
Overall: Delicious.  Green Flash Brewing Company’s Rayon Vert Belgian Style Pale Ale is just plain delicious.  At 7% ABV this well carbonated, refreshing and balanced offering is a must try.

Cheers!

Mark Harvey
