Hello beer lovers and welcome to another edition of the
NorCal Beer Blog's brew review.
Tonight’s featured beer is Sudwerk Brewing Company
Cascaderade India Pale Lager.
From the is Sudwerk Brewing Company website:
“Inspired by the iconic Cascade hop and named for the rugged mountain range
that stretches from British Columbia to Northern California. This beer was
carefully dry-hopped with the finest Cascade hops from Yakima Valley, creating
a citrusy, piney and refreshing West Coast taste. Elevate your Lager
experience.”
Let’s get started!
Appearance: Pours
a pale amber color with a dense off-white head leaving good lacing.
Aroma:
Citrus, tropical and stone fruit, grainy, bready and a little grassy.
Taste: Grapefruit,
tangerine, lime, orange, pine, grassy, pale, cracker and bready malts.
Overall: Crisp
and clean, Sudwerk Brewing Company Cascaderade India Pale Lager is nice. This 6.6% ABV offering isn’t something I’d
tend to gravitate toward, but I’d certainly drink another one if given the
chance.
Cheers!
Mark Harvey
