Knee Deep Brewing Company Midnight Hoppyness Imperial Black IPA

Hello beer lovers and welcome to another edition of the NorCal Beer Blog's brew review.

Tonight’s featured beer is Knee Deep Brewing Company Midnight Hoppyness Imperial Black IPA. I’m a BIG fan of Knee Deep Brewing Company beers so when I saw this one at Royal Liquors (here) I immediately picked it up.
Let’s get started!
Appearance: Pours pitch black with a creamy mocha colored head and excellent lacing.
Aroma: Citrus, grapefruit and pine hops, dark roasted malts, coffee and spicy rye.
Taste: Citrus, tropical and pine hops up front followed by roasted malts, chocolate, coffee and rye.
Overall: Probably one of the best Black IPAs I’ve had, Knee Deep Brewing Company Midnight Hoppyness Imperial Black IPA is SOLID.  At 9.5% ABV this beer delivers and should make their year-round rotation (in my opinion).

Cheers!
