Hello beer lovers and welcome to another edition of the
NorCal Beer Blog's brew review.
Tonight’s featured beer is Caldera Brewing Company Ashland
Amber. Here’s another fine beer I picked up from the brewery on my summer
vacation.
From the Caldera Brewing Company website: “A crisp,
well balanced, refreshing Amber. Simplicity
is the key to this recipe.”
Let’s get started!
Appearance: Pours
a clear copper color with a thin off-white head and nice lacing.
Aroma: Malty –
caramel and biscuit malts, citrus hops and a touch of pine.
Taste: Sweet
caramel and biscuit malts, grassy and citrus hops with a slight roasted nut note.
Overall: Nicely
balanced, Caldera Brewing Company Ashland Amber is enjoyable. With an ABV of 5.6% I could drink a few of
these in a session.
Cheers!
Mark Harvey
