Caldera Brewing Company Ashland Amber

Hello beer lovers and welcome to another edition of the NorCal Beer Blog's brew review.

Tonight’s featured beer is Caldera Brewing Company Ashland Amber. Here’s another fine beer I picked up from the brewery on my summer vacation.

From the Caldera Brewing Company website: “A crisp, well balanced, refreshing Amber.  Simplicity is the key to this recipe.”
Let’s get started!
Appearance: Pours a clear copper color with a thin off-white head and nice lacing.
Aroma: Malty – caramel and biscuit malts, citrus hops and a touch of pine.
Taste: Sweet caramel and biscuit malts, grassy and citrus hops with a slight roasted nut note.
Overall: Nicely balanced, Caldera Brewing Company Ashland Amber is enjoyable.  With an ABV of 5.6% I could drink a few of these in a session.

Cheers!

Mark Harvey
