Hello beer lovers and welcome to another edition of the
NorCal Beer Blog's brew review.
Tonight’s featured beer is North Coast Brewing Company ACME
California IPA.
From the North Coast Brewing Company website: “IPA is
profoundly hoppy, finished with over a pound of fresh whole hops per
barrel. The result of this generous hopping is a beer that is deliciously dry,
and eminently drinkable in spite of its apparent strength.”
Let’s get started!
Appearance: Pours
a golden orange with a large off-white head and light lacing.
Aroma: Pine,
citrus, grassy and floral with caramel and biscuit malts in support of a great
nose.
Taste: Nice and
hoppy upfront – citrus and pine and balanced nicely with biscuit and caramel
malts.
Overall: Tasty
and really easy to drink, North Coast Brewing Company ACME California IPA is excellent. This 6.9% ABV offering won’t strip the enamel
off your teeth and will leave you wanting another. As usual, North Coast Brewing Company brews
excellence!
Cheers!
Mark Harvey
