Lost Coast Brewery Winterbraun English Brown Ale

Hello beer lovers and welcome to another edition of the NorCal Beer Blog's brew review.

Tonight’s featured beer is Lost Coast Brewery Winterbraun English Brown Ale.  Every year I look forward to adding Winterbraun to my winter seasonal selection. Since the NorCalBeerBlog is new for this holiday season I figured I had better get all of my favorite winter warmers reviewed.
From the Lost Coast Brewing website:” A full-bodied, brown ale with a rich chocolate taste created from roasted chocolate and caramel malts. Topped with Czech Saaz hops to give it a spicy flavor and aroma.”
Let’s get started!
Appearance: Pours a deep dark reddish brown with a tan head and nice lacing.
Aroma: Sweet caramel, nutty, and roasted malts with hints of chocolate, brown sugar, yeast and a fruit.
Taste: Taste much like the aroma – toasted and sweet caramel malts, chocolate, dark fruits and spicy Saaz hops.
Overall: Sweet and delicious, Lost Coast Brewery Winterbraun English Brown Ale is very drinkable and at 6.5% ABV.

Cheers!

Mark Harvey
