Hello beer lovers and welcome to another edition of the
NorCal Beer Blog's brew review.
Tonight’s featured beer is Hawai'i Nui Brewing Kaua'i Golden
Ale.
From the Hawai'i Nui Brewing website: “Bright.
Tropical. Refreshing. When youʻre thirsty, look no further than Kauaʻi Golden Ale.
Cool off after a day of outdoor activities with the island-style ale inspired
by the dramatic golden sands of Hawaii. Gently balanced with a delicate citrus
aroma. Light-bodied craft beer with a classic hop aroma and dry finish. Try it
with sushi, sashimi and poke.”
Let’s get started!
Appearance: Pours
a bright yellow color with a white head and nice lacing.
Aroma: Lightly
toasted grainy malts, slight caramel, citrus and tropical hop notes.
Taste: Malts
upfront, lightly toasted and caramel, slight tropical and citrus hops.
Overall: Light
and easy drinking, Hawai'i Nui Brewing Kaua'i Golden Ale is nice. This 4.9% ABV offering was brought back for
me from Hawaii so I’m sure I got this as fresh as possible and I enjoyed it!
Cheers!
Mark Harvey
