Tonight’s featured beer is The Rare Barrel Cosmic Dust -
Golden Sour Beer Aged In Oak Barrels With Hibiscus.
From the The Rare Barrel website:
“Cosmic Dust is our golden sour beer aged in oak barrels with hibiscus. This
sour is fermented with Brettanomyces yeast and Lactobacillus bacteria.”
Let’s get started!
Appearance: Pours
clear golden honey with light pink tones, a thin light pinkish-white head and
nice lacing.
Aroma: Tart and
sour, stone fruits, citrus, sweet grains, slight oak and hibiscus.
Taste: Stone
fruits, tart, sour, citrusy, floral, sweet grains and hibiscus.
Overall: Dry,
floral, fruity and sour, The Rare Barrel Cosmic Dust - Golden Sour Beer Aged In
Oak Barrels With Hibiscus is delicious.
This 5.4% ABV offering is not over the top tart – exceptionally created
and left me wanting much more. Highly recommended!
