Hello beer lovers and welcome to another edition of the
NorCal Beer Blog's brew review.
Tonight’s featured beer is The Willow's Market Pale Ale -
Brewed by Strike Brewing Company. If you haven’t yet been to Willow’s
Market in Menlo Park, CA you really should. With well over 1,000 craft
beers you’d be hard pressed to find a better selection. Willow’s Market
has two beers brewed for them locally – The Willow's Market Pale Ale and Dark
Matter Imperial Stout. Check them out (here).
Commercial description: “PALE ALE: A bright golden ale that
is a tasty balance of hops and malt. Perfect for any situation or time of the
year this is one beer with which you can’t go wrong.”
Let’s get started!
Appearance: Pours
a clear golden amber with a dense cream colored head and leaves tons of lacing.
Aroma: Caramel
and biscuit malts balanced with citrus hop notes.
Taste: Taste
follows the nose with caramel and biscuit malts, citrus, mostly grapefruit hop
flavors.
Overall: Really
solid American Pale Ale, The Willow's Market Pale Ale - Brewed by Strike
Brewing Company is delicious. At 5.8%
ABV you can’t go wrong with this one.
