Hello beer lovers and welcome to another edition of the
NorCal Beer Blog's brew review.
Tonight’s featured beer is Caldera Brewing Company Pale Ale.
From the Caldera Brewing Company website: “A West
Coast-Style Pale Ale balancing plenty of hops with a malty backbone. Premium
Two Row, Munich and Crystal Malts, Centennial and Cascade Hops.”
Let’s get started!
Appearance: Pours
a dark orange color with a fluffy off-white head and soapy lacing.
Aroma: Sweet and
bready malts, citrus, pine and floral hop notes.
Taste: Toasty and
sweet malts balanced nicely with citrus, earthy and some pine hop bitterness.
Overall: Solid
and enjoyable, Caldera Brewing Company Pale Ale is a delicious Pale Ale. At
5.5% ABV this is a great beer to have a few of due to the excellent balance
they’ve achieved.
Cheers!
Mark Harvey
