Hello beer lovers and welcome to another edition of the
NorCal Beer Blog's brew review.
Tonight’s featured beer is Madison River Brewing Company
Irresistible Amber Ale.
From the Madison River Brewing Company website:
“This amber is created with the use of choice hops and a unique blend of
specialty malts to produce a rich and tasty brew. It is especially...”
Let’s get started!
Appearance: Pours
a copper color with a slight beige head and nice lacing.
Aroma: Caramel,
bready and biscuit malts, citrus and earthy hops.
Taste: Sweet
caramel, biscuit and bready malts (following the nose), nutty, brown sugary and
a nice hop spice and bitterness in the finish.
Overall: Enjoyable
and balanced, Madison River Brewing Company Irresistible Amber Ale is a solid
Amber Ale. At 5.5% ABV this is a nice
refreshing beer. Ambers don’t tend to be
“go to” beers for me, but fans of the style will enjoy this one (as I did).
Cheers!
