Bell's Brewery The Oracle DIPA Ale

Hello beer lovers and welcome to another edition of the NorCal Beer Blog's brew review.

Tonight’s featured beer is Bell's Brewery The Oracle DIPA Ale.

From the Bell’s Brewery website: “Our take on the West Coast-style Double India Pale Ale, The Oracle places hop intensity first & foremost, making only the slightest concession to malt & balance. The fireworks start with the aromatic punch of dry-hop sessions with hop varieties from the Pacific Northwest. Resinous, citrusy hop flavors mixed with aggressive bitterness from a massive kettle addition deliver on that aromatic promise.”
Let’s get started!
Appearance: Pours a hazy orange with a thick off-white head and good lacing.
Aroma: Citrus, pine, and tropical hop scents and a sweet caramel malt backbone.
Taste: Citrus and pine hop bitterness balanced very well with caramel and biscuit malts. Big flavors all around.
Overall: Creamy and somewhat sticky, Bell's Brewery The Oracle DIPA Ale is delicious.  This 10% ABV Double IPA is easy to appreciate, a bit heavy, slightly boozy and solid.

Cheers!
