Hello beer lovers and welcome to another edition of the
NorCal Beer Blog's brew review.
Tonight’s featured beer is Lagunitas Brewing Company Little
Sumpin' Extra! Ale.
From the Lagunitas Brewing Company website: "Lots of
wheat for a curious malt complexity and leaving it light in color, but huge in
flavor and satisfaction."
Let’s get started!
Appearance: Pours
a dark golden yellow with a large fluffy white head and excellent lacing.
Aroma: Grapefruit,
pineapple, orange, pine, mango and sweet smelling.
Taste: Citrus,
pine and tropical hops match the nose and are balanced exceptionally with wheat
notes and sweet malts.
Overall: Insanely
drinkable, Lagunitas Brewing Company Little Sumpin' Extra! Ale is yet another
outstanding offering from Lagunitas Brewing Company. This 8.5% ABV and 64 IBU beverage is
something I’ll be buying a lot of while it is fresh. Two enthusiastic thumbs up!
Cheers!
Mark Harvey
