Deschutes Brewery Twilight Summer Ale

Hello beer lovers and welcome to another edition of the NorCal Beer Blog's brew review.

Tonight’s featured beer is Deschutes Brewery Twilight Summer Ale.

From the Deschutes Brewery website: “Summer has its own rules. As luck would have it, it also has its own beer. This clever golden-hued ale pours remarkably crisp and clean. A distinctive malt body complements a refreshing hop profile led by a heady dose of bold Amarillo hops. Enjoy.”
Let’s get started!
Appearance: Pours a hazy golden orange color with a white head and great lacing.
Aroma: Orange and other citrus aromas, bready malts, pine and light caramel and wheat scents.
Taste: Citrus, pine and earthy hops balanced with caramel and bready malts.
Overall: Sweet, citrusy and refreshing, Deschutes Brewery Twilight Summer Ale is an excellent summer beer.  Not an IPA, this 5% ABV offering is an excellent combination of hops and malts and is well crafted. I highly recommend this one!

Cheers!

Mark Harvey
