Hello beer lovers and welcome to another edition of the
NorCal Beer Blog's brew review.
Tonight’s featured beer is Big Sky Brewing Company Summer
Honey Seasonal Ale.
From the Big Sky Brewing Company website: “HERES THE SCOOP
ABOUT SUMMER HONEY. IT'S A FULL FLAVORED, REFRESHING SUMMER SEASONAL. THIS WELL
BALANCED BREW HAS A UNIQUE BLEND OF SPICES, WHICH COMPLEMENT THE EUROPEAN HOPS.
THE HONEY LIGHTENS UP THE BODY AND HELPS TO BLEND TASTE WITH AROMA WITHOUT MAKING
THE BEER TOO SWEET.”
Let’s get started!
Appearance: Pours
a slightly cloudy golden color with a thin white head and spotty lacing.
Aroma: Pale and
grainy malt scents, sweet honey and touch of spice.
Taste: Light sweet
and cereal malts, honey, some spice – perhaps coriander and nutmeg and some
fruity esters.
Overall: Refreshing
and light, Big Sky Brewing Company Summer Honey Seasonal Ale is a nice
seasonal. This 4.7% ABV offering is a
nice session and worth trying when you’re in the mood for easy drinking.
Cheers!
Mark Harvey
