Victory Brewing Company Golden Monkey Tripel

Hello beer lovers and welcome to another edition of the NorCal Beer Blog's brew review.

Tonight’s featured beer is Victory Brewing Company Golden Monkey Tripel.

From the Victory Brewing Company website: "Strong and sensual, this golden, Belgian-style ale glows. The richness of German malts and Belgian yeast are tempered by a sparkling approach and overall light body. Abundant herbal, fruity notes make Golden Monkey® one to savor.”

Let’s get started!

Appearance: Pours a hazy golden color with a huge white head and great lacing.

Aroma: Banana, vanilla, sweet malts, honey and Belgian yeast with just a slight hop aroma.

Taste: Fruity, complex, spicy with great malt sweetness and a slight hop bitterness.

Overall: Victory Brewing Company’s Golden Monkey Tripel is fantastic.  It is hard to believe this is a 9.5% ABV beer, but believe me…it is.  I completely enjoyed this one and plan to pick up some more.
