Palo Alto Brewing Co. Hoppy Ending Pale Ale

Hello beer lovers and welcome to another edition of the NorCal Beer Blog's brew review.

Tonight’s featured beer is Palo Alto Brewing Company Hoppy Ending Pale Ale.

From the Palo Alto Brewing Company website: “Hoppy Ending Pale Ale is a traditional West Coast style Pale Ale. It is an unfiltered, golden-colored ale with an aggressive hoppy aroma filled with citrus and floral notes characteristic of our West Coast hops. It is full-bodied and complex. The perfect balance of malt and hops leaves a nice lingering bitterness without overwhelming your palate, and is sure to leave you craving another.”
Let’s get started!
Appearance: Pours a clear and golden color with a white foamy head and a little lacing.
Aroma: Biscuit and light malts with crisp citrus and pine hops.
Taste: Slightly sweet and grainy, biscuit malt and pine hops.  Very light, refreshing and approachable.
Overall: A mild Pale Ale, Palo Alto Brewing Company’s Hoppy Ending Pale Ale isn’t going to knock your socks off with huge flavor, but it was certainly enjoyable. I’d gladly accept a pint of this one or order it when out. At 5% ABV and such light body I could enjoy this fresh and solid APA.

Cheers!

Mark Harvey
