B. Nektar Meadery The Zombies Take Manhattan Imperial Zombie Killer

Hello beer lovers and welcome to another edition of the NorCal Beer Blog's brew review.

Tonight’s featured beer is B. Nektar Meadery The Zombies Take Manhattan Imperial Zombie Killer - Apple Honey Wine With Cherries Added Aged In Whiskey Barrels. I picked this bottle up at Jane’s Beer Store in Mountain View, CA (here). They have a fantastic selection and I highly recommend visiting them if you find yourself anywhere near the area.

"They're back! The return of The Zombies Take Manhattan - Lightly sparkling honey, apple, and cherry mead aged in rye whiskey barrels."

Label Description: "We thought we had them under control. The antidote was working. But life, or even death, finds a way. After a year of successful treatments, their bodies stopped responding and grew to nearly twice their normal size. Now they've overrun the city. I fear it's too late for mankind. They're coming...    B. Afraid"
Let’s get started!
Appearance: Pours a pale pinkish copper with no head and slight legs.
Aroma: Cherries, whiskey, oak, honey, apple and a slight coconut aroma.
Taste: Tart and sweet cherries, apple, sweet honey, whiskey, oak, coconut and a touch of rye.
Overall: Incredibly delicious, B. Nektar Meadery The Zombies Take Manhattan Imperial Zombie Killer is wonderful.  As a fan of their Zombie Killer I was sure to like this 12% ABV offer since I’m a sucker for barrel aged anything. The alcohol is well hidden on this slightly sweet and boozy beverage.  Highly recommended!

Cheers!

Mark Harvey
